Study(ing) for a socially fair fashion industry
Germany is an important site for fashion with numerous fashion-related programs at universities. Today’s students are tomorrow’s designers, garment engineers and buyers for large companies. The responsibility for sustainable and social working conditions in the global fashion industry starts in Germany.
With the FairSchnitt project we cooperate with universities, so that important issues are incorporated into the curricula of fashion-related programs. These issues include: working rights of seamstresses, companies’ codes of conduct and social and environmental standards in the supply chain.
We offer module topics, workshops and lectures, in some cases even from Bangladeshi or Indian guests.
